The Matrix Reloader

Well, we’ve been suitable excited about “The Matrix Reloaded” around here. I think it was the first “Rated R” movie that I let the kids see, followed by Office Space. Well, the first reviews are in, as reported by slashdot. This line has me more then a bit worried:

“If you’re looking for a deep, meaningful cinematic experience then The Matrix Reloaded is not for you. But if it’s a non-stop roller-coaster ride you’re after, then this movie is light years ahead of anything that’s gone before.”

Ah well, reviews are meant to be taken with a large grain of salt. Some of my very favorite and most cherished films were given terrible ratings and reviews by the media.

Anyway, the beloved Landover Baptist Church has their own ideas about The Matrix Reloaded and the powers behind it. The Animatrix shorts have been out for a while, here’s the first and second installments, of nine apparently. No doubt you’ve seen the co-marketing campaigns flourishing. So many marketeers and pitchmen have hopped on the bandwagon that between the new X-Men movie, The Hulk, and The Matrix Reloaded… it promises to be a madison avenue summer indeed.

Well, the matrix website has some surprises still. Hidden areas, easter eggs, and secret stuff.

They’ve been there for a while and, no doubt, there will be more. Do try some of the secret areas at The Matrix website. To use them, enter the “high bandwidth” area of the site and allow the navigation elements to load at the top of the page. Once loaded, move your mouse to the far right side of the navigation menu. You’ll find three blank spaces that will indicate text in one of the little “screens” when you mouse over them. Find the one that says “Input Code” when you move your mouse over it and click on it. Try some of these passwords for different areas…

Now, that you’ve accomplished all of that nonsense, downloaded some screen savers, seen some interviews, etc… you’ll have figured out that you could have gotten to much of this junk from the regular navigation areas anyway… Well, back to the navigation bar, you’ll find another area called “Options.” When you click on that, it will unfold and you will see a small black box that turns green when you move your mouse over it. Also, the text will change in one of the little “screens” and display the words “binary access.” Click on it and the menu will dissappear leaving you with a console of dip-switches… have fun… here’s all that I could locate:
