The happy hacker
digest newsletter has started up again, relocated to e-groups.com.
I used to love reading it and hung on every word for a time. I must
say, it’s a piece of sellout shit now. Oh well.
Will Microsoft have to move
it’s headquarters into a low level, geosynchronous orbit? Perhaps
they could lease the old Legion of Doom’s headquarters? No, they
still would have to pay the piper down here in the US, Canada, Europe,
and Asia. So what’s the point? They may as well stick it out down
here. The rent is probably cheaper.
Thank you to the 56 (so far)
people who did my little HTML
authoring software poll. The results were interesting indeed.
I was not sure how it would go. I also was not sure if I picked the
right software to give as voting choices. But, despite that. Dreamweaver
won hands down. I didn’t really think that it would. It beat out Frontpage
and that’s got to be the more prevalent software. I mean it comes
with every copy of MS Office 2k, no matter what version you get. Hell,
you even get a copy of Front Page lite when you install Internet Exploiter.
So Among you, my circle of friends and readers, Dreamweaver is king.
Hrmmmmm. Well, the good news for the more technical people is that
Macromedia is coming foreword with a new version of Dreamweaver called
Ultradev.
I’ve already pre-ordered and paid for it. I’m not sure when It’s supposed
to ship, but I can’t wait.
Last item. I’m thinking of
breaking the hacking guide out of retirement and treating it to
a nice facelift/update. What do you think? Should I get back into
that mess again? It was very popular. Only problem, it didn’t exactly
appeal to the most prime of demographic groups.
