paxtonland changes: I’ve made a few small changes to paxtonland. As you can see, I’ve done a few visual modifications, changed things here and there. I’ve also added a headline stream from moreover.com so that we can grab a fresh story now and then. This will make the page load slower as it formulates the links and headlines. But, to compensate for that, I’m only displaying 15 days worth of comments and have removed many bandwidth consuming bits of code. Also notice that when you post, hitting the return key will add a line break, hitting it twice will add a line space.

I’m working on a comments system right now, I’d like to get paxtonland away from flat single posts that don’t help readability much. I’m testing several slashdot-like comment systems as we speak. I’m testing them on another server, when they area ready and working. We’ll have a better forum for discussion than paxtonland is in it’s current state. Which has really become a weblog-diary-catchall for things I have been writing for years. Long time visitors of this site will remember many many static, seldom updated pages that were reflective of the tools and techniques that I’d learn to date. Now, I’m more inclined to rely on the developments of others and impliment their good work. Rather than figure everything out for myself. Hence, the use of blogger. It was intended as an experiment, but has become part of the site.

I don’t think I’d like to change the style, just the method that thoughts get to this page. I’m open to suggestions as well.
