MTV News Online, UGO News Networks, and several more sites are reporting the emegence of a band called Fozzy. Claiming that they have been in a contractual exile in Japan for the last 20 years, they’ve returned to the States to triumphantly reclaim their place in heavy metal Valhalla. Also claiming that most of their music has been ripped off by the likes of Motley Crue, Ozzy, The Scorpions, Dio, and many more… Well, they are telling their side of the story at 8pm (EST) on MTV in the form of a documentary.
Actually, Fozzy appears to be composed of members of the WWF. Fronted by Mongoose McQueen (AKA, Chris Jericho of the WWF), who are undertaking a brilliant publicity stunt and evidently covering the bands and songs that they’ve loved for years. In an ingenius, Spinal Tap-like stunt, they get to make music, sell the WWF, and maybe even make a dollar or two from legions of WWF and Heavy Metal fanatics. Who knows, maybe they’ll bring back metal music genre again? Nah…
