I eliminated the “mouse trails”. I didn’t write that script and couldn’t get it to validate. I went for an XML strict validation for the new Belleville Online homepage. Now I will continue to make the whole "new" site in compliance with strict XML 1.0 specs.
Which brings me back to notepad. All tags must be in lower case for XML. According to the W3C, basically all editors write non-conforming tags for XML. Chalk one up for notepad…
