Thy Mouth Runneth Over

Think that Lott’s comments about segregation were bad? Think again, this should be a hot one for the next couple of days.

Rep. Howard Coble, chairman of a subcommittee in the Dept. of Homeland Subjugation says (and I paraphrase): “Those damn nips belonged in those internment camps during Dubbya Dubbya Two!”

“We were at war. They (Japanese-Americans) were an endangered species,” Coble said. “For many of these Japanese-Americans, it wasn’t safe for them to be on the street.”

Like most Arab-Americans today, Coble said, most Japanese-Americans during World War II were not America’s enemies.

Still, Coble said, Roosevelt had to consider the nation’s security.

“Some probably were intent on doing harm to us,” he said, “just as some of these Arab-Americans are probably intent on doing harm to us.”

Although, I agree with him in part… It probably wasn’t safe on the streets for Japaneese people in America. However, we didn’t know any better back then and we’re really very sorry about it now… Well, you just don’t say stupid things like this in public! Especially if you are a big wheel in a really scary machine like The Department of Homeland Submission!

Thanks goes to Dan Quayle for showing the world that it is okay for important and powerful politicians say really stupid things in public.
