I’ve got to make a list of programs to burn onto a CD. I’m tired of downloading this stuff over and over again. I used to say “Why store stuff on my hard drive when I have the whole internet to store stuff on” But, I’ve since revoked that credo since I’ve got a CD ROM burner at home and a work. I guess it’s time to start using them to burn stuff besides bootleg MP3 CD’s.

Marshall Rose is working on
Marshall Rose is working on a betwork protocol to replace HTTP called BXXP. This is not news to some, as it’s been known for a while that they were doing this. This is the guys who wrote POP3, SNMP, and HTTP. It seems as though things are getting back to networking basics again. A packet of data, an identifying container (which can be XML), and that’s it. It really looks to me
It really looks to me as if Microsoft and AOL are about to get into a major pissing contest over your computer, internet connection, and applications. Even PDA’s, set-top boxes, and other “internet appliances” are going to be subject to this “battle.” With Microsoft’s .Net and AOL’s networks, plus the browser platforms and applications… wow. Get ready folks, the next round in “Microsoft vs. Planet Earth” is about to start.

I’m running Mozilla M16? I
I’m running Mozilla M16? I forget, whatever the latest release is. I think that it’s still pretty rough. In fact, it’s still very, very rough. But, the brightest points about the thing are still yet to be seen. As for Netscape, I also have the latest beta. As near as I can tell, all of the CSS stuff, all of the DHTML stuff, as well as stuff I can’t yet determine will be affected. The good news about this is at least the CSS implementation is compliant with the W3C standard and not a quirky and proprietary AOL/Micro$soft interpretation. If…

I’m catching up on my e-mails now. For those of you who are awaiting a reply from me about something, the wait is almost over! Whooo! I’m finally getting the time also to catch up on the things that have stacked up on me for the last few weeks. Among which is fulfilling an artilcle proposal that I’ve submitted to Webreference.com. For the next week, I’ll be saturating myself with the merits and idiosyncracies of boxed, e-commerce/web transaction, server based products. Another, Whoooo! Maybe after a while, I’ll actually start getting paid for this crap I generate.

I eliminated the mouse trails
I eliminated the “mouse trails”. I didn’t write that script and couldn’t get it to validate. I went for an XML strict validation for the new Belleville Online homepage. Now I will continue to make the whole "new" site in compliance with strict XML 1.0 specs.Which brings me back to notepad. All tags must be in lower case for XML. According to the W3C, basically all editors write non-conforming tags for XML. Chalk one up for notepad…

After researching, I’ve found it to be the #1 vendor neutral certification. I’m tired of sitting around
I’m tired of sitting around wishing didn’t have so much stuff to do. I’m not enjoying life doing stuff for others anymore. I enjoy writing very much, such as you may be able to read. So, on that note I’ve decided that I’m not going to wait for time, or anything. I’m just going to start writing again. I’m looking for good technolocigal topics, as well as places to publish to. Any suggestions from anyone would be helpful. It’ll be nice to publish again, wish me luck.
