Tepig = Bondage Pig?
So, Dash gets this thing in a Happy Meal or, some such. I’m not entirely sure when I first encountered Pokemon. Probably not long after they were invented. The five oldest kids all had cards and whatever else. I never noticed this guy before. Holy crap! His little butt (eh, thingy) even lights up! Oh yeah. Hi. It’s been a while. Will try to get back to posting 🙂

Aiyana Jones
7 year old Aiyana Jones was shot and killed in Detroit early Sunday morning (5/16/10). The cops killed her. The first breaking news reported that it was an accident… It gets much worse from there. Much. The target was Chauncey Owens, they suspect that he killed Jerean Blake, 17. The Detroit police achieved a no-knock warrant for Owens, who was in the apartment upstairs. The police SWAT team arrived at 12:45am with camera crews from The First 48 to forcibly enter both units of the duplex. The SWAT team tossed a flash grenade through a window, which landed on and…

So, Flint is Burning
This is for all of you out-of-towners that may not have heard, Flint is in chaos at the moment. Since the mayor closed fire stations and laid off firefighters, there have been over 50 fires in the city in the past week. Mlive is trying to cover it. In their own inept way. Someone is trying to keep up with them all on Google Maps. Some fire departments are giving up. You can keep up with the excitement by listening to live streams from fire and police dispatch. It’s not national news. No one would be surprised anyway. Flint’s best…

Price for hot air continues to skyrocket
So, apparently the New York Times has decided to charge non-subscribers for unlimited use of its site. I’m not sure if I can speak for anyone but myself but, I just don’t care. I think I’d rather eat a news paper than actually read it and I won’t pay anyone for the filler between advertisements that they’ve shoved down my throat for decades. All I can really say about news print media is, good bye and good riddance. As the MBA’s frantically scramble to try to figure out how to wring blood from turnips, I’ll just keep on gathering my…

Holy Neglected Website!
Ah, so… you are still here. Thanks. Sorry that it takes me so damned long to write stuff. I work to hard. So, I’ve done some background work keeping paxtonland up to date technically. There are still quite an awful lot of people that come here, despite the fact that I never seem to have time to write. As they say, if it’s important, you’ll do it. I’ll do it. Sorry again.

Finally Crap Dot Com!
So, there is about 4 major things wrong with this commercial: XP on a MacBook, with a BSOD Actually, most of the computers depicted are Macs running Windows. At about :18 in, they have a Mac running windows, running IE, getting the Firefox version of the “Unable to Connect” page. Finally, through the entire thing, they flash “PC Computers only,” on the bottom. I think that the guy who put the commercial together was putting subtle clues to let people know it was a scam. I think. Anyway, seems they charge for free software you can easily download and run…

Lonely? Call 1-800-hot-dems
Mich. Dems’ typo directs voters to phone-sex line DETROIT (AP) — Michigan Democrats trying to arouse interest in absentee voting have accidentally directed people to a phone-sex line. State party spokeswoman Liz Kerr says a flier that included two absentee ballot applications had a misprint in the number for a campaign hotline. The flier came from the Michigan Democratic State Central Committee and featured photos of presidential candidate Barack Obama and U.S. Sen. Carl Levin. The error was first reported by WJBK-TV in Detroit. Kerr says the party apologizes for the misprint. Well, look on the bright side. The Michigan…

In The Rumor Mill
The New York Times is reporting on a rumor that GM and Chrysler are considering a merger.  In fact, several new orgs are reporting on the same rumor. First, I can say that here on the ground we have heard rumors about this for years. Including rumors about a GM – Ford merger.  Before the three-headed-hound-of-hell purchased the mess that Dailmer made of Chrysler, there was specualtion about GM being a buyer. Though I would like to see GM acquire Jeep, I can’t say that I see any value in Chrysler for GM except to gain more market share. That…

The Smoking Right Wang
Keep The N*gger Out Of Office. Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man today threatened election officials, claiming that he urgently needed to cast a ballot to “keep the nigger out of office,” according to police. Wade Williams, 75, was arrested this morning on a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly calling the Registrar of Voters and warning that he would come to the state office and empty his shotgun unless he got his registration card. Using profanity and racial slurs,

Doritos Super Weird Flavor
Doritos, having run out of marketing ideas, are selling this black bag, non-branded tortilla chip in local stores, maybe near you too? They’re asking us to name them. Paige says they taste like a hot dog. Damian says they taste like either Gardetto’s or some kind of cheddar ranch combo. Personally, I think they taste like a cheeseburger. A McDonald’s cheeseburger at that, with all the pickles, onions, and crap like that… um… ew. Next up, frog leg and soy sauce Doritos, mmmmmmm…. Or, maybe mushroom and swiss Doritos? Oh, I know… how about head cheese and hawt sauce!

Who’s Keeping Count?
Recently, Rocky and myself decided to count the amount of sodium that we took in for 1 day… Actually it turned into counting everything that I felt was relevant yet, simple to keep track of: Fat(Grams) Sugar(Grams) Salt(milligrams) Calories Peanuts 14 0 190 170 Candy 0 36 0 70 Ramen Noodles 14 2 790 280 Soda 0 96 165 360 Pretzels 1 0 300 110 Candy 0 36 0 70 Coffee 4 0 0 40 Coffee 4 0 0 40 Coffee 4 0 0 40 Alfredo Sauce 6 0 430 70 Spaghetti 1 0 0 210 Garlic Bread 6 0 240…
