“Michigan asks arabs to come for questioning.” An anti-terrorist task force in the Detroit area would send letters to about 700 young Middle Eastern men who had come to the country on temporary visas in the last two years. The use of letters looks like it could be a reasonable and positive way to deal with a very unique and difficult investigation. Since the investigation began, 19 people with Arabic names have been identified as being involved. This makes conducting an investigation without racial profiling rather difficult to say the least… impossible to say the most.
